Tell us about Jubilee Home Inspections LLC.

Jubilee Home Inspections LLC was founded in 2008 with humble beginnings. It began and continues to operate as a small family owned Home Inspection business grounded in the beliefs and practices of basic Christian Principles. In Old Testament teachings, the year of Jubilee was a year of "New Beginnings", a time of fresh starts and new opportunities. That is what we try to help our home buyers achieve with each home inspection, a "New Beginning."

Our "Mission" is to be the "Buyers Advocate" in assisting the home buyer in making one of the most important purchases they may ever make. We want their home buying experience to be a positive one, and their home purchase to be one of Joy and Promise, not Pain and Regret. Home ownership is an important step in building personal wealth, regardless of age. Our "Mission" is to ensure the home buyer makes an informed decision before they place their name on the dotted line. Home equity can be gained by making a wise home investment, or it can be lost by using poor judgement in a home purchase. We want to ensure that the home buyer has the ability to make a wise investment decision based on tried and tested techniques of Home Inspection that provides a snapshot of the condition of the home they are considering.

Can you walk our viewers through the home inspection process?

The home inspection process can be really simple if a home buyer does their homework. Most realtors will provide a listing of Home Inspectors in their general coverage area, as the Realtor is to be an unbiased participant in the Home Inspection Process. In this day of the information super highway known as the world wide web , a reputable home inspector can be found by doing a web search in the geographical area of their intended home purchase. Once the home buyer has found a home that meets their criteria, they will generally make an offer. Once that offer has been accepted by the selling party, the Buyer generally has 10 days from the signing of the Purchase Contract to have a home inspection completed. The closing of the Contract is contingent upon an acceptable home inspection in the view of the home buyer. If deficiencies are found that the buyer feels are detrimental to the value of the home, then the buyer has the choice of accepting, walking away, or countering based on the findings of the home inspection. Normally, the seller and buyer work out a compromise that is acceptable to both parties. The perfect scenario is when both parties walk away with no regret.

Jubilee Home Inspections LLC is Licensed and Insured through the Construction Industries Board of Oklahoma and is a member in good standing of the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors www.nahi.org.

Why should someone get a home inspection?

Regardless if the home is an older, well established home, or new construction, it is always a wise investment decision to have an unbiased third party, such as a Home Inspector, walk through the structure. The small one time fee you will pay for a home inspection is miniscule compared to the thousands of dollars you may spend after the fact on issues that could have been identified by a home inspection. Once you sign on the dotted line and take possession of the home, it now becomes your sole responsibility. A home inspection can help ensure that the investment you are making with your hard earned dollars is a sound financial investment. Home Inspectors in Oklahoma are required to be Licensed by the State of Oklahoma. This license is renewable each year and must be supported by a minimum of 8 hours of continuing education. The Home Inspector must also carry a minimum of $50,000 in General Liability Insurance. For your own benefit and safety, ensure you are obtaining the services of an Educated, Qualified, Reputable, Insured, and Licensed Home Inspector.
