Redbud Dental Gives Its Patients A Lot to Smile About

According to a 2013 Gallup poll, one-third of American adults had not visited the dentist in over a year. Skipping regular dental check-ups can have serious consequences for our health, especially as other studies have determined that 27% of U.S. adults have untreated tooth decay.

There are usually two reasons why people avoid the dentist: fear of pain, and the cost of treatment. The caring staff at Redbud Dental, however, is determined to reassure patients that it's possible to have comfortable as well as affordable dental care.

"It is most satisfying when we can break down barriers with our patients," says Angel Vick, the practice's office manger. "We have many patients that are blown away by the quality of care we provide. It is very fulfilling to get someone over their fear of the dentist. We have had many patients that have never even gone to a dentist.

We strive to make them as comfortable as possible, and they end up taking care of very serious problems that can lead to many other health concerns, not just in their mouths. They even enjoy the experience! It is very rewarding to help these patients and actually see them smile!"

Redbud provides all of the usual dental service -- fillings, root canals, crowns, bridges, dental implants, whitening, cosmetic dentistry, and more. They perform these treatments using a variety of perks to relax and comfort the patient. These include headphones, pillows, blankets, 3D movie goggles, warm scented hand towels, and more. Patients in the waiting room can treat themselves to a beverage including a Keurig coffee bar, video games, and more. "With these amenities we can provide a more comfortable atmosphere for our patients," says Vick.

The practice is also up-to-date on all of the latest dental technology, including digital x-rays, CT scans, ultrasonic, and more. But all of these perks don't come with a steep price: in addition to providing affordable rates and accepting many insurance plans, the practice actually offers its own Redbud dental plan that gives patients discounts and includes the cost of two cleanings, exams, and x-rays.

Two dentists (Dr. Jay Peck and Dr. John Hong) attend to patients in the practice's two locations, Edmond and Moore. All three know how to make patients feel comfortable and are committed to providing affordable care.

"The inspiration behind opening Redbud was really to provide quality dentistry that we would not only want for ourselves, but for our own family members," says Vick. "We really build trust with our patients. Our goal is not to make money, but to take care of our patients like family. If you are doing the right things for the right reasons, we believe success will follow."
