It's All in the Family at Let's Do Greek

Having been raised in a family restaurant, Marsha Aguilar was bound to carry on the tradition for herself. Looking to open their own restaurant, Aguilar and her husband were immediately drawn to Edmond, both adoring the locale and realizing a need for Greek and Mediterranean options. It was then that Let's Do Greek was born.

Let's Do Greek was designed specifically to put families first- both those of the customers and the workers. "We have made sure we have a family restaurant with family values," Aguilar states, "first because of our hours of operations, we want our staff and ourselves to have time with their families and also we don't sell alcohol, not because we don't believe in it but because if we did, we couldn't close at 8:00!" The family-centered environment draws customer loyalty on a regular basis. "We also have lots of families with children that come to our Edmond location because they know we love kids!"

Aside from the devotion to family life, Let's Do Greek draws in their customer base by offering only the best in Mediterranean and Greek dishes. "Some of our most popular dishes are the Chicken and Beef Suvlakia and our different basmati rices," mentions Aguilar. The restaurant's Suvlakia is marinated in olive oil, saffron and lemon juice and is skewered and broiled, making it authentic, yet original. "Some of the basmati rice we make are dill, lentil and cabbage rice," Aguilar tells us. "Our gyros and Oregano Chicken are always popular as well, along with our homemade Tzatsiki sauce. Of course- no trip would be complete without our Homemade Hummus!"

Recognition has poured in over the years for the Aguilar family and Let's Do Greek. The family run business has earned quite a reputation, along with a vast collection of awards from The Gazette, Eastern Oklahoman County Newspaper, and The Oklahoman. Let's Do Greek has been awarded the People's Choice award for six years in a row, the Sunshine Award for Best Greek Food in both 2011 and 2012, and the Edmond Life and Leisure award for Favorite Lunch Spot, as well as a recognition from the Midwest City Chamber of Commerce. Not to mention The Sunshine Sward, which they have won every year since 2011!

Since opening the Edmond location, the Aguilar family has expanded their business, leading them to open a secondary location in Downtown Oklahoma City. Recently, they even ventured into the Food Truck industry, joining the growing city fad with their very own Let's Do Greek Food Truck.

The Aguilars pride themselves on food, family, and fun- and greet each and every one of their guests with open arms and a warm invitation. "Food is our passion, and for that reason it has directed us to Edmond and to the heart of downtown OKC," Aguilar exclaims. "We hope you will give us the opportunity to become part of your family as we look forward to years of great friendships and business."
