Art on a Plate Served at Norman's Locally Owned Fancy That

By Elisha Neubauer

When it comes to getting a great meal, nothing tops a chef-driven restaurant. When the chef is in control, you'll find a certain energy level that you won't get from a chain restaurant where everything is reheated and prepackaged.

Fresh ingredients, vivid selections, and unique combinations pop from the menus at these motivated eateries, making them an exciting experience for your taste buds each and every time.

In Norman, Oklahoma, they were highly lacking this eclectic dining experience?that is, until Fancy That launched in Downtown Norman.

"Forget driving to the city to take your chances on maybe good food, when it is always Great here at Fancy That, Downtown Norman," affirms Tom Slatt, Owner & Chef.

Slatt knew exactly what he wanted when he decided to open his own restaurant. Aside from offering a chef-driven menu, he wanted each and every meal to be freshly created from the highest quality ingredients. His widely inspired menu contains everything from chicken and beef to shrimp, salmon, crab, and lobster, and includes tastes derivative of Spanish, Italian, French, and American inspirations.

Breakfast options include creations such as the Fancy Breakfast Burritos, Mediterranean Scramble, and Grand Marnier Stuffed French Toast while the Lunch and Dinner offerings include such options as Oven Roasted Salmon, BBQ Brisket and Blue Cheese Salad, and Flash Fried Brazilian Lobster Tail. Each meal is created with stunning beauty and accuracy?making each plate a work of art delivered straight to your table.

For those looking to bring the taste of Fancy That into their next event, catering is available. Hot Buffets, Hor d'oeuvres, Drinks, Boxed Lunches, and Breakfast options are available.

"I have been cooking all over the country for nearly 30 years for the most amazing Chefs," says Slatt. "I have picked up so many great ideas that are tried and true and brought them to Norman for your enjoyment."
